ESTIDO

This project comes from my connection to my Bolivian roots, which have been with me throughout my fashion design training. I was inspired by a traditional ritual where white confetti or mistura is sprinkled on the bride and groom's heads as a symbol of good luck and blessings.

The design consists of a two-piece lingerie-style wedding dress, accompanied by a three-metre veil in which I have attempted to recreate, through embroidery, traces of confetti caught in the fabric, as if the ritual were suspended in time.

The piece seeks to combine sensitivity and collective cultural meaning, capturing the lightness and delicacy of the dress while maintaining the poetry of the ritual. Every detail transmits a connection between tradition and contemporaneity, turning the garment into an object that tells a story beyond its form.

This project is the catalyst for my final degree project or graduate collection.
